For The Love of Outlander

Why do I blog?
Why do I tweet?
Why do I Facebook?
Why do I read, reread and read again?
Why do I watch, re-watch, and re-watch again?
Why do I evangelize Outlander to others?

I have a deep love for this series of books. It has seamlessly translated into a growing love for the tv series. My friends come to life. Amazing.

The writings of Diana Gabaldon have gotten me through a divorce, rebuilding, remarriage – through my 20’s, 30’s and now deep into my 40’s.

In 1994, I brought a refrigerator, a washer, a dryer, 2 cats, and Outlander into my second marriage (20 years strong).

Outlander has taught me many things of heart and mind. These books, these characters are friends who are always with me.

Claire is so much of me, frank, passionate, brainy, ethical, a survivor, a fighter, a lover, hardworking, fierce, tender…….

It is such a part of my life, I cannot imagine not existing with it.

I do all the above actions for the sheer love of Outlander. Through the years, I have received and shared love, laughter, tears, grief, support, built friendships, all because of Outlander.

I am a better person because of my journey with it since 1991.

Thank you Diana for writing and writing some more. You have a magnificent brain!

Thank you Ron. Thank you Cait, Sam, et al. Thank you to all cast and crew. Thank you Starz.

Yours humbly,

Desirre
