He is Summoned The Scottish Prisoner Week 3

Jamie goes back to his normal routine a few days after meeting with Quinn. At least, everything appears as if he has. In this installment, He is Summoned, Jamie quickly realizes how different his routine might be. For the first time since William’s birth, he’s able to interact with him, touch him, and teach him about the horses. He’s thankful Willie’s face is still rounded and his hair not red. The boy looks nothing like him, or at least for now. The warmth of his exchange with his boy happily caries Jamie.

He cannot help think of his unknown child with Claire. The child she was pregnant with when he sent her back to Frank through the stones. The child would be near 14 he thinks. Nearly a grown man. Well, he’s partially correct.

These two chapters are filled with the illusion of freedom and the reality of his containment. He’s not a slave or a prisoner, but he cannot leave Helwater at his own free will nor can he enter the manor house, except for the kitchen. His mind is still free, even if his body is not.

There’s still the matter of Betty, Quinn, and the many secrets held at Helwater.

As the chapter closes, he is summoned one final time. Without explanation, to London he is going.
