I previous posted photos of Jamie taking Laoghaire’s Beating. He is kindly (albeit stupidly in my opinion) taking her punishment so she is not shamed in front if everyone. Jamie’s doesn’t know her really at all.
In the episode, we see more detail and nuance of Rupert carrying out the beating by fists, Dougal’s intent, Claire’s response and Jamie’s relationship with Murtagh.
The stills I captured have most to do with Laoghaire, her father, Jamie’s tension and dismay with Dougal, and how he looks to Claire after.
