Claire and Jamie are at their absolute best when they are a cohesive team. This chapter shows how to work together to meet the desired goal. The depth of their trust and ability to do always what’s right, shines through.

Abandawe, the cave Lawrence Stern told Claire about when they first met, comes back into view. It’s where Geillis has stolen away to, with Young Ian in tow. Her plan is dark and malevolent. Claire must be the one to end the cycle Geillis started. And she does.

Though a struggle for dominance, in the end, Young Ian is rescued, Jamie is only wounded, and Claire finds peace.

Where The Hell Is Jamie? Voyager Read A Long Week 24

In this Voyager read-a-long episode (chapter 61), “Where The Hell Is Jamie?,” Claire finds herself, alone, in a heap of messy situations. Instead of staying put as Jamie insisted, Claire, comes face to face with a killer, an unlikely betrayer, a crocodile, a missing person, and an African priest. Oh let me not forget, she discovers a Fraser of Lovat prophecy.

What she didn’t find is Geillis or Young Ian. Neither did Jamie and the men. There’s a surprise for her and Jamie at the end of a summoning by Ishmael.

Claire is a strong woman, however, this is one tremendously stressful few hours for our heroine. It’s a day she will likely never forget, even with the drugged rum she was forced to drink.
