Our dear Jamie, aka Alexander MacKenzie, is minding his own business working as a groom paroled to Helwater Estate, The Lake District, England. This installment, Of Ireland and Irishman, has his tidy day to day life disrupted by Quinn, the Irishman Betty spoke of. The Jacobite cause is alive and well in Ireland. Quinn wants Jamie to retrieve the cup of the ancient druid kings from a monastery in Ireland.Jamie thinks he’s mad. How in the world could he help even if he wanted to? He’s not free to leave the estate without permission.

Lord John Grey, Hal, and Harry Quarry are on a path of discovery surrounding Siverly, the office who they would like to bring to court martial. That path leads directly to Ireland, where Siverly has taken a leave of absence to.

As you can imagine the tenuous relationship between Lord John and Jamie is about to flame as their paths inevitably converge.

Intrigue and tradition will collide.
